Residential Development at Moygaddy, Maynooth
The proposed development at Moygaddy is a major extension to Maynooth, delivering a new, well-connected residential neighbourhood set within a strong landscape framework.
Commissioned by Glenveagh Homes and currently in planning, the scheme provides 757 homes across a mix of houses, duplexes, apartments, and later living units, supporting a diverse and inclusive community.
The development is underpinned by a range of amenities, including a crèche, scouts/community centre, neighbourhood retail, and a GAA pitch, helping to establish a vibrant local centre. Strategic infrastructure forms a key component of the project, including part of the Maynooth Outer Orbital Road (MOOR) and a new bridge crossing the Rye Water River.
An extensive greenway network promotes active travel throughout the scheme, while a significant parkland corridor along the Rye Water River enhances biodiversity and provides high-quality recreational space.
Together, the project balances housing, infrastructure, and landscape to create a sustainable and integrated new quarter of Maynooth.
